What is Amplify your Team!?

It is our brand new podcast here at Amplify Your Vision!!

The podcast is for coaches and entrepreneurs who are in their first five years of business and they're looking for ways to grow and scale their businesses.

What I mean by leveraging team, is this acronym, {you likely have heard it, if not great, if so it makes sense}

Everyone

Achieves

And it's really around that principle.

You may know I am the CEO of a of a business called Amplify your Vision where we work with entrepreneurs who are growing their vision. But this podcast specifically is around cultivating team.

Team can mean different things:

First and foremost, it's clearly the team that you hire in your business. Because this is a podcast for entrepreneurs, we're gonna talk a lot about hiring actual team members in your business to support you, like a virtual assistant, an online business manager, operations managers, social media people, marketing manager, etc.
It's also other people you create relationships with. And you surround yourself with those who are part of your team. Your coach, for example, is part of your team.
The people that you surround yourself with in a mastermind setting, like a group coaching setting or any other variations of a mastermind, they are team with you. Because you're co creating experiences with a vision that you will all be elevated by, or to all create a change or a transformation by the end of the experience.
Also, it could be people around you in your daily life. IRL, in real life, around your house, maybe it's your family, maybe it's your friends, maybe it's your kids, maybe it's your neighbours, maybe it's people you've hired to be in person with you. Someone who cleans your house or meal preps for you, or watches your children or runs errands as a personal assistant that you meet for coffee once a week to get the hell out because you've been in it all week.

Ultimately, our definition of team is someone who you invest in, whether you are making an investment from a financial perspective, or a time perspective, in order to support your growth.

Why does team matter?

I think ultimately, you know, Together Everyone Achieves more. In order to grow into our best selves, having high leverage people around us matters because it's not just us.

Sure, at the end of the day, it's my ideas. Let's say my ideas are “amazing”, I am very clear that when I am collaborating with someone else, they always push me to examine my ideas from different angles. And maybe I end up with the same idea, but it expands my perspective when I have input from other people, especially when I have feedback from people I trust.

It's also fun having people around you! I was a business coach for a few years, and I noticed outside of my virtual mastermind, I was doing a lot of my business alone, I had one VA, {that's a virtual assistant}, who would come on here and there and support me.

But it was actually quite lonely.

Now, I have a team of about eight people. I love my team. I love connecting with them, getting together as a full team, as segments of our team and even one on one with them. It enriches my day to hear about what they're up to. It lightens my mood, we have fun, and we laugh together. I've had people come and go from my team, and every person who leaves team Amplify Your Vision says, Wow, I'm gonna miss this team so much. I loved working with them.

Of course, our clients are wonderful too. But we work way more with each other than even with our clients.

It matters for humans to have connection, for our humanness to be deeply connected with people who support us, who lovingly challenge us with feedback, and where we can have fun together. Because fun is fun, just for fun’s sake. And why not have fun along the way?

All of the above (and more) - that's why we have team!

This is our definition of what a team is. There are definitely a few different variations of team.

What does it mean to you, when you hear the word team?

Take a deep breath and breathe it in.

If you are not building a team…what is stopping you?

Was it a previous experience that you did not enjoy? Either building a team, being on a team or even maybe what's standing in the way from you and building a team is that things that haven't worked out in the past.

You have scars, team scars. Limiting beliefs about all of the above is likely stopping you.

It’s time to start reworking those old beliefs and rewrite those stories. We'll dig into that and work it out in subsequent episodes.
